Juljana Mehmeti is the people’s poet.

Juljana Mehmeti is the people’s poet and a citizen of the earth or a global citizen . I love her poetry because it transports reason in abrupt waves of rhythm .Her poetic style is mind blowing .The wit that accompanies meaning is astounding . It speaks of a citizen whose conscience experienced many stories and survived many ideologues .I call it a l learned conscience , the one advanced into a revolution from the university of life , a literary revolution, #liberated pen

I remained with my arms outstretched
to the darkness hidden in hazy mysteries,
which abducted the tearful glimmering of starts
and hope
covered the distant shadow
in a deep sinking.

eyes get lost
in the pale beams
of the continuous shinning
during the robust journey
to the confused orbit
remained somewhere in the middle…

Clouds like a pillow of pain, where I lean my head
they melt to the memories of one lone instant
of thirsty lips
untouched kiss
feelings spread in unknown fragrances
discharged to the image fixed to the sky.

Somewhere …, somewhere …, I can find you
behind a forgotten corner
or lone bench,
the returned whitening
of the morning light
and the evening smile
dissolved in a lone flux
one color,
one shinning
reflection essence
in the ninth planet,
tracks of the time
spelled to the space, where only we are living!

I wanted that sweet sinking in your ocean
that slow immersion
somewhere down to a wave
approaching towards the harbor
swinging in our boat
the ruffled wind;
two oars driving
and a sail lost in the horizon.

I also loved the silence
which spoke with your breathing while traveling
to the unexplored universes of feelings
extended odors around
while I was wandering in the sky
and the light
hidden behind the sun
illuminated to the paleness of an evening
in the glimmering of eyes.

… and both of us
hunted wanderers
with our escape
hidden beyond the skies,
drawing kisses
to the fate of the same star.
3- Behind the curtains …

and the word spread out
to an open alley behind the curtains of thoughts
very distant from our area
somewhere there between the clouds
where skies are torn and lightning is ignited
flares between feelings
waves of feelings confined to the silence
with na orbital movement of veins,
which blazes
reborn of dawns
the blazed volcano
through the cycle of time existence
and wanders to the eternity among us
laid in white sheets of hieroglyphs
carved to the wandering which follows us…
in a bed of feelings
wings of a veil with entrusted hope
the separated flows, life…

To the eyelashes of the moon

You had never gone
when the night darkened to the eyebrows of the forests,
neither when the eyelids of the day passed the black shadow of the eyelashes of the moon,
only me forgotten
with some sunbeams gathered with last particles
to that wrinkled sight,
refracts to the prisms
in the shadow illusions.

I feel cold to the nakedness of the shinning bare stars
in the fingertips frozen in Antarctica
the pore crystals blossoming with pain
sliding to the shadow, of the past memory.

No single light,
only sparks in an abandoned harbor
in the hidden fog
above the broken timbers of the ships
the journey with no return.

The dusk hands are extended
to the soul during the deep night
dressed with nightmare
covered with misery
undressed to the life
reflection of long awaiting
and hanging to the twilight frames.

The pale reflex slowly touches my shadows..
wrapped with arms of desires
of the white wings
the flight halted at dusk intersections
bitter feelings
questing for eruption
of different fragrances
with the taste of freedom.

Locked in a sky of dreams,
where the distant migration commences
broken chasms
to the peak of feeling
hidden to myself,
there where the rainbows are born.

I am the light,
with thousands grey particles,
I wake up the tomorrow
from the cold labyrinths
in dark alcoves.

Juljana Mehmeti (Albania – Italy)
Juljana Mehmeti was born in the city of Durres, in Albania. Since she was a child she became fond of literature and writing, especially poetry, a genre that in the following years will turn into a real life motive, a way to better express her ideas, her thoughts, her visions and metaphysics , her point of view according to her consciousness but also improving the awareness of the same suggestion that surrounds the human world. The first book “Soft – Poems” published in Italian language attracted the attention of publishers and Italian literary criticism, not only for its particular style, but also for new words, the language used, the philosophical message and the currents present in her poems that go from Hermetism to Surrealism. The second book comes from the field of translation entitled “Vramendje” – (Rimugino “) of the Italian author Alessandro Ferrucci Marcucci Pinoli, which will constitute the first experience in this field, but will also strengthen his long-standing conviction, to know and translate in his language, many popular Italian authors.. The collection of poems “Oltrepassare” is her new book, which presents itself with the new tendencies of Albanian literature, postmodernism and universal consciousness, from experimental currents to absurdity. The last her book is “In his Light”
She currently lives and works in Ancona, Italy.
