Ambily (2)

Behold my kids
With no childhood.
Listen to their screams
Lost in the music of the bombs.
See their festering wounds
Like a paddy field with
scorched fissures.
Listen to the tales
Of fragmented bodies.
Look at the sky turning red
When village are bon fires.
See the ghost houses etched
On the carpets of blood
spread on the ground.
That is my Syria.
